Damage to the LCD displays within the ClassVR headsets are usually characterised by lines of random colours, lines, a star or spider's web effect across the screen or black blobs obscuring the content. These could start in the middle or the outside of the display.
This issue is usually caused by excessive force or impact to the headset, such as falling onto a hard surface, or dropping another object onto the headset.
To prevent damage of this nature, ensure that the devices are used and stored properly. Make sure that they are worn and adjused correctly so that they do not fall off the user's head. Make sure that the users are in a position where they are not likely to trip or fall, or bump into other headset users.
Also make sure that they are carefully stored back in their specified case or trolley. When moving the headsets to a different location, ensure that the case/trolley is securely shut and locked, and that they are moved with care and consideration.
NOTE: Damage of this nature is not covered by warranty. If you have a device with a cracked LCD display and would like to discuss replacement or repair options, you can log a support ticket via the troubleshooting section. For further details on your warranty, click here.
