Uploading your own scenes to the ClassVR Portal.

Uploading your own scenes to the ClassVR Portal.

If you have created your own explorable scene in Blender, Unity or other 3D creation software, you can upload it to the ClassVR Portal for your students to experience.

Currently, the ClassVR Portal and ClassVR headsets support *.glb files as useable 3D environments.   After exporting your scene this can be uploaded to the ClassVR Portal.
  1. Uploading to 'My Cloud' will limit the files access to your own account
  2. Uploading to 'Shared Cloud' will allow other user to access the content.

Once your GLB file has been added to the Portal, you will see it represented as the default ClassVR GLB icon - as above.   For content to be handled correctly it requires the correct 'tag'.

  1. Right click on the icon and select ‘Add Scene Tag’

Once completed, you can drag and drop your new scene into a playlist and send it to your ClassVR headsets as you would with a standard track.

You may need to experiment with camera location and spawn points inside your scene while building it to perfect the process.

Your scene can now be explored freely using either the ClassVR Handheld Controller or the using the Action Button on your headsets.

Note : Scenes uploaded this way will not have navigation meshes, so users will fly through scenery and walk through walls.

If you require assistance or would like to discuss having your models added to the ClassVR Portal by our team, please contact the Educational Services team at community@classvr.com
