ARC 2.0 Update
On your ClassVR headsets, there is a bright orange app called ARC – the augmented reality classroom. ARC allows your students to explore our augmented reality (AR) worksheets (which can be accessed via the Plan section of the portal). From Friday 11th October, ARC will now support the use of the ARCube (and Merge Cube) for holding, moving and manipulating the ARC-based models.
Simply, click on the ARC app at the bottom centre of your headset’s screen and load the app up. Remember, once it’s loaded, you will then need to bring one of our AR worksheets into view, so the front-facing camera can pick up which AR experience you want to load. Keep the worksheet in view of the camera and then introduce the cube. The model should automatically attach on the cube and work in exactly the same way as all other 3D models.
ARC is not working with my ARCube. Why is this?
Make sure your headset has updated the app:
1. Check your device has Wi-Fi connectivity
2. Reboot the headset
3. Select ARC and give the headset a few minutes to download the update
4. Reprint your ARCube from the ClassVR Portal (Plan -- ClassVR -- scroll down -- Worksheets -- Hyperlink at the top of the page)
5. Use a couple of different ARC sheets.
