About the iXR Labs Content Set
iXR Labs' public catalogue spans “500+ modules” aimed mainly at higher education. What Avantis has been supplied for the ClassVR STEM subscription is a curated, NGSS-mapped subset: 58 modules, each built as a short (typically 20–40 minute) guided virtual-lab investigation with a matching Curriculum Alignment document, Student Guide, and Teacher Guide.
Healthcare (human body systems)
These modules let students explore internal human anatomy and physiology in 3D — e.g. Exploring the Human Heart walks through all four chambers, valves, and the cardiac cycle (systole/diastole), tracing blood flow from the vena cava through to the aorta. Other modules cover the digestive, endocrine, integumentary, nervous, reproductive, skeletal, muscular, circulatory, excretory and respiratory systems.
Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)
These modules let students see how large infrastructure and machinery work from the inside, safely and at any scale — e.g. Water Treatment Plant walks through five real treatment stages (screening, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection) and connects the process to water-quality sustainability. Other modules cover dam cross-sections, bridge construction, transformers, solar/wind/hydro/nuclear/thermal power plants, induction motors, steam turbines, heat exchangers, centrifugal pumps, and a universal testing machine.
