Network Diagnostics – ClassVR Portal
The Network Diagnostics tool in the ClassVR Portal helps you assess network latency, connectivity quality, and upload/download performance between your ClassVR devices and your network’s Access Points (APs).
Accessing Network Diagnostics
- Log in to the ClassVR Portal.
- Click the Settings icon (top-right corner).
- Under the Network section, click Network Diagnostics.
You can also bookmark the direct link:
Network Diagnostics Tool
Information Available
For each connected device, the tool displays:
- Wi-Fi SSID – The wireless network name the device is connected to.
- Wi-Fi BSSID – The Access Point’s MAC address.
- Wi-Fi Frequency – The connected band (2.4GHz or 5GHz).
- Wi-Fi Link Speed – The current data rate between the device and AP.
Using Network Diagnostics
Having access to detailed connectivity information can help identify network performance issues.
Example: If devices drop from 5GHz to 2.4GHz, this could indicate distance issues or a low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), requiring adjustments to AP placement or settings.
You can also run live tests:
- Low Load – Runs a packet test to measure response times (latency).
- Devices Uploading – Measures upload speeds from devices to the network.
- Devices Downloading – Measures download speeds from the network to devices.
Important Notes
- After testing, always click “Idle” so headsets return to a normal state.
- If you’re unsure how to interpret the results or resolve issues, contact support@classvr.com with your test results for assistance.
