Applies to: CVR-155-A / CVR-255 / CVR-255-64
Overview
The ClassVR hand controller plugs directly into CVR-255 and CVR-255-64 headsets.
For CVR-155-A, a USB-C to USB-A adapter is required. No additional drivers or setup are needed.

Troubleshooting Steps
- Unplug and re-insert the hand controller into the headset’s USB port.
- Plug the hand controller into another compatible ClassVR headset to test if it works.
- Plug a different hand controller into the headset you are testing to see if the issue is with the headset or the controller.
- Press all buttons and move the joystick to check for any response.
- CVR-155-A only:
- Try using a different USB-C to USB-A adapter.
- The hand controller will only work in the USB-A port — do not attempt to use the micro-USB charging port.
USB Port Condition
If you suspect debris or foreign objects in the USB port, do not attempt to remove it yourself. This could damage the port or cause a short circuit. Instead:
- Contact support@classvr.com with a description of the issue and a clear photo of the port.
If the Issue Persists
If none of the above steps resolve the issue:
- Raise a support ticket via the Troubleshooting section of the ClassVR support portal.
Using Headsets Without Controllers
The ClassVR 3DoF headsets are fully functional without hand controllers. For navigation and use without a controller, refer to the relevant user guides: ClassVR User Guides
