Hand Controller Troubleshooting – 3DoF Headsets

Applies to: CVR-155-A / CVR-255 / CVR-255-64


Overview

The ClassVR hand controller plugs directly into CVR-255 and CVR-255-64 headsets.
For CVR-155-A, a USB-C to USB-A adapter is required. No additional drivers or setup are needed.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Unplug and re-insert the hand controller into the headset’s USB port.
  2. Plug the hand controller into another compatible ClassVR headset to test if it works.
  3. Plug a different hand controller into the headset you are testing to see if the issue is with the headset or the controller.
  4. Press all buttons and move the joystick to check for any response.
  5. CVR-155-A only:
    • Try using a different USB-C to USB-A adapter.
    • The hand controller will only work in the USB-A portdo not attempt to use the micro-USB charging port.

USB Port Condition

If you suspect debris or foreign objects in the USB port, do not attempt to remove it yourself. This could damage the port or cause a short circuit. Instead:

Using Headsets Without Controllers
