If you are having problems opening or viewing the ClassVR portal, please try the following steps to fix the issue.
- Check magnification settings.
Most modern browsers allow you to resize web pages to assist with making things like text bigger on the screen. If everything is too big or small on the screen, ensure that your browser is set to 100% magnification. - Close and re-open the browser.
Sometimes a web browser can take up a lot of resources on the computer, especially if there are a lot of tabs open or it is doing something intensive such as playing videos or games. Closing and re-opening the browser clears all of this and starts a new session. - Restart the computer.
Restating the computer clears all open programs and background functions that might be taking up resources and slowing everything down. Once the computer has restarted, try opening the browser and navigating to the ClassVR portal before doing anything else. - Clear the cache.
Clearing the cache removes any temporarily stored webpages and other historical data that the browser retains for quicker loading in the future. But sometimes this can stop pages loading correctly. Clearing the cache allows the browser to download everything fresh.
Instructions on how to clear the cache for most browsers can be found on their website:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
- Ensure that your browser is up to date.
Most modern web browsers automatically update these days, but if you suspect that you might be using an outdated version of your browser, we recommend getting your IT provider to ensure that all available updates have been installed. - Disable browser extensions.
Extensions are small apps that can be downloaded and work in conjunction with your browser. Sometimes, these can cause issues with your browsing experience if they are not functioning correctly or are out of date. Disabling or uninstalling these may make your browser run more efficiently. - Check your internet/network connection and speed.
It is possible that slow internet or network speeds are stopping the ClassVR portal from opening correctly or downloading assets that it needs. Check with your IT provider to make sure that your connection speeds are sufficient. - Try a different web browser.
If you have more than one web browser installed, try using a different browser to open the ClassVR portal. - Try a different computer.
If you suspect that there may be an issue with the computer that you are using, then try opening the ClassVR portal on a different device. This will highlight if the problem is restricted to the one computer, or possibly a network-wide issue.
