Maintenance

ClassVR headset cleaning and general maintenance

Storage

- The headsets should be kept in the charging case or trolley when they are not in use. We also recommend that they are returned to the case/trolley once they are no longer being used to avoid damage.

USB ports and cables

- Ensure that the USB ports on the headsets are free from debris as this will affect their ability to function or charge.
- Make sure that all cables are kept within the case or trolley and are not allowed to dangle out to avoid damage.

Cleaning

- Lenses
The lenses can be cleaned with the included microfibre cloth, or similar. In order to remove grease, clean with a soft moist cloth and dry afterwards. Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners.

- Case
The front and sides of the headset should be cleaned with a soft non-abrasive cloth, taking extra care when cleaning the camera lens. Follow the lens cleaning procedure for the camera lens.

- Strap and face-pad
These should be regularly cleaned using an anti-bacterial wipe or similar to avoid transmission of germs and other skin and hair irritants. Do not clean by putting in a washing machine.

- Hand controller/AR cube
The hand controller and AR cube (available separately) should be cleaned with a soft non-abrasive cloth or anti-bacterial wipe. Do not use anti-bacterial hand gel, alcohol or abrasive cleaners to clean the accessories.
