Applies to: CVR-155-A / CVR-255 / CVR-255-64
Overview
The buttons on ClassVR headsets are designed to be robust and withstand thousands of presses during normal use. However, excessive force or accidental impacts can cause damage.
Common Types of Button Damage
- Unresponsive buttons – no action when pressed.
- Loose buttons – moving freely or wobbling in the housing.
- Stiff buttons – harder to press than normal.
- Buttons stuck in a pressed position – remain depressed and do not spring back.
Causes of Damage
- Dropping the headset directly onto the buttons.
- Applying excessive force during operation.
- Repeated improper handling during lessons or demonstrations.
Preventing Button Damage
- Educate users on correct operation before use.
- Buttons require very little pressure to operate.
- Each press should produce a detectable click — avoid forceful pressing.
