Updating Saved Playlists and Cached Content

Headset content updates

This is regarding the information that is uploaded from the portal to the headsets. The amount of time this takes depends on the size of the files being uploaded, the amount of content that has been added to the playlist, and the speed of your internet/network connection.

Sending new and existing playlists to the headsets is done via the 'Send' button at the bottom of the playlist pane on the 'Plan' tab.

When sending content to the devices, there is a progress bar on the 'Deliver' tab for each headset. You can use this to track progress.

Devices that already have content from the playlist in whole or in part will be ignored as this has previously been cached.  Once the loading bars have all completed the tracks on the device are up to date and the playlist is ready.

Updating existing playlists

  1. To update an existing playlist, drag the the current playlist into the 'Playlist' pane.
  1. This will now display the tracks contained in the playlist.
  1. Add additional tracks as required, or you can just rearrange them.
  1. Then click the 'Save' icon on the Playlist Pane toolbar at the bottom.
  1. Either enter a new playlist name or leave the existing one and click 'Save Playlist'.

Using the same playlist name will prompt you to overwrite the existing playlist.

NOTE: Opening a 'Shared Playlist' will save the new playlist in 'My Playlists'.

Updating playlist names and notes

To update any playlist details, click on the playlist and use the 'Actions' pane that will appear on the right.

NOTE :  Pressing play prior to all uploads completing will cause disjointed playback for students,  consider pre-caching large playlists using 'Collections'. [COLLECTIONS LINK ]
