This article covers clearing the cached data (content) from your devices in part or completely.

If you’re having trouble uploading new content, encountering slow application or headset performance, or facing issues with software or firmware updates not downloading, you may need to clear the cache on the affected headset(s).
This will wipe the storage on the headset either fully or in part. To factory reset a device [ /articles/factory-reset/ ]
Clearing the cache is done in the Administration section of the ClassVR portal [ https://portal.classvr.com/manage/devices.cfm ].
- From the main ClassVR screen click the Settings icon in the top right
- Then choose Administration Portal from the bottom of the second column
NOTE : You will need Admin level access or higher to perform this action and access this area of the portal
- Click Devices from the 'Admin' menu
You will see all of your currently enrolled devices. Make sure 'Free Storage' is selected in the 'Actions' menu on the right.
You will now see a column showing the current space available for your devices.
- Select a headset(s) by ticking the box next to the headsets that need the cache cleared
- Now choose one of these two options depending on your requirements on the bottom of the 'Actions' menu.
- ‘Clear Non-Subscribed Content’ will clear anything that is not part of your 'subscribed content'. [ /articles/using-themes-for-subscribed-content/ ] All other software is retained.
- ‘Wipe All Content’ removes all software from the selected device(s).
Settings such as cached Wi-Fi details and enrolment will be retained. Tracks will be downloaded again when sent as part of a playlist or selected in the headset to run. If 'Wipe all content' is chosen and there is 'Subscribed content' selected as part of a 'Collection' this will be automatically downloaded when the headset checks in.
Subscribed content completion can be verified by the 'In Sync?' icon being ticked green.

NOTE : If the headset storage falls below 2GB, it will automatically overwrite the oldest and least accessed content on the device.
